ALFA-PE
ALFA-PE joints are used as a connection between the flange of steel or cast iron pipe and polyethylene pipe. Utilization of this joint is widespread because of numerous advantages.
Basic advantages of using ALFA-PE joints are:
- diameter of the toothed ring which fix position of polyethylene pipe is adjustable, so
that is possible to choose depth of ring engravement into the pipe wall;
- thanks to the mentioned construction of the ring, during the installation (no matter
what the outer diameter of the pipe is) there is no need for heating, nor the curvature
of pipe can be a problem during the installation;
- sealing is not achieved on toothed part, but with a rubber gasket which has
adjustable overlap;
- connection is detachable;
- possibility of gasket tightening in case that, from whatever reason, leakage occurs.
