BETA-PE joints are used as a connection between polyethylene pipes. They have a widespread utilization as an alternative for jaw couplings, thanks to their constructive advantages.
Basic advantages of using BETA-PE joints are:
- diameter of the toothed ring which fix position of polyethylene pipe is adjustable, so
that is possible to choose the depth of ring engravement into the pipe wall;
- thanks to the mentioned construction of the ring, during the installation (no matter
what the outer diameter of pipe is) there is no need for heating, nor the curvature of
pipe can be a problem during the installation;
- sealing is not achieved on toothed part, but with a rubber gasket which has
adjustable overlap;
- connection is detachable;
- can be used for repairs of PE pipes in case of rupture on welded contact or any
other type of damage, and all that by using one joint;
- possibility of gasket tightening in case that, from whatever reason, leakage occurs.
