EXTRA LINK GASKET
EXTRA LINK GASKET is a product derived from years of working with the aim to enable even more relaxed installation of EXTRA joints (with all of its derivatives: LONG EXTRA joints, a LONG EXTRA+ family of products, LONG EXTRA SPECIAL and LONG EXTRA ULTRA joints) and LINK joints (within all its versions).
Previously common way of installing stated products required that gasket of primary sealing had to be cut to the correct measure on the spot intended for sealing. This, although not really that difficult, proved to be challenging for some low-experienced workers, especially for the pipes of large diameters. In these cases it was possible for gasket to be cut in slightly smaller dimension, which could, in term, compromise the sealing going forward.
To avoid any possibility of the above, ARMAS has developed a special device that allows the gasket, which is supplied as part of a ready-to-assemble coupling, to consist of ready-made segments that have special "jigsaw" edges for interlocking, allowing them to be unambiguously and clearly inserted or ejected as needed , which allows the sealant to be of completely adequate dimensions for reliable sealing, without the need for cutting during the assembly process.
The material of the gaskets which are being used, their shape, dimensions and other characteristics have not been changed in comparison with time-tested standards, while the only difference being the stated way of inter-locking of parts, which represents significant innovation and provides easier bond in assuring secure connection between the pipe and the gasket, which guaranties reliable sealing.
